Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen to unveil four new models in Nov.
As part of its revival plan, announced in Spetember, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co.,Ltd (DPCA) will launch several new models for the market. In accordance with the company’s schedule, four new models will be introduced at Guangzhou Auto Show, to kick off on November 22, including two NEV models. They are the all-new Peugeot 2008, the Peugeot e-2008, the fire-new Citroen M443 and the Citroen Aircross PHEV.
The all-new Peugeot 2008
The Peugeot 2008 is a small-sized SUV and the all-new one has been released abroad. The vehicle of its fuel oil version, rolling off the production line in July this year and will make its debut at the auto show. The new one is designed with large sized front grille connecting two sides’ taillight clusters and with LED daytime lights appearing like tusks, same with the overseas-produced version.
The overseas-made Peugeot 2008 measures 4300mm long with a wheelbase stretching for 2600mm, longer than the current version and near to the size of the Honda XR-V. The model is produced based on CMP (common modular platform) co-developed by Dongfeng and PSA. With regard to its powertrain, the new vehicle is expected to be equipped with a 1.2T engine paired with 6-speed AT.
The Peugeot e-2008
The Peugeot e-2008, the all-electric version of the new 2008, features dot-matrix blue front grille and boosts a blue letter “e” on the side fender to show its NEV identification. It is manufactured on eCMP, an electric modular platform. Besides, it will carry a motor that pumps out up to 100kw and whose torque peaks at 260N.m, with a NEDC-rated range of 430 km.
The Citroen M443
Another new model is expected to be the Citroen M443. It is supposed to be the crossover version of the Elysee with new iconic exterior design similar to that of the C3-XR.
The Citroen Aircross PHEV
The Citroen Aircross will first be launched in China carrying 1.6T or 1.8 T engine. Its PHEV model is likely to carry twin motors with a maximum power of 222kw and a torque peak of 450N.m. It is expected to be equipped with 8-speed AMT.
