Ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing and GAC Group cemented their cooperation on June 26 after they forged a strategic partnership in April 2018. This time, both parties are going to carry out collaboration in such areas as vehicle promotion, customized services, operation as well as ride-hailing service and autonomous driving.
GAC Group officially launched its mobility service platform “ON TIME” on the same day. Aside from GAC Group, Tencent and Guangzhou Public Transport, Didi Chuxing is also among the investors of the new mobility program.
By virtue of the big data analysis capability and operational experience in car-hailing field, Didi is able to provide ON TIME with its technology platform, supply-demand matching & transaction strategies, and other abilities in driver & passenger experience enhancement, marketing & branding, customer service respond & disposal mechanisms.
In April, 2018, Didi Chuxing joined hands with 31 partners to a build an integrated car operator platform dubbed Didi Auto Alliance or Torrent. GAC Group was one of earliest participants.
Zeng Qinghong, chairman of GAC Group, said both companies boast advantageous resources in respective areas as GAC is one of the top 5 automobile manufacturing groups in China and Didi is a one-stop mobile service platform.
Apart from the cooperative domains mentioned above, two companies will also exchange experience and understanding about the marketing, auto after-sales service, smart charging, vehicle refueling, hourly car rental business and finance service.
